| Racing Line-Redline Time Attack, Round 2, Willow Springs Raceway, May 30th-31st
As the 2009 Redline Time Attack season marches on, records continue to fall. This past weekend at Willow Springs International Raceway, numerous records were broken, beaten and shattered! In what could be one of the most impressive performances for a production-based vehicle, Billy Johnson, piloting the FX Motorsports Development Acura NSX, posted a mind numbing lap time of 1:18.555, around the 2.5 mile "Fastest Road in the West", shattering the previous time attack Unlimited Class lap record of mid 1:22's. Four other vehicles also either broke the existing record or came very close to doing so.

BRASELTON, GA - Round 2 of the 2009 Formula Drift season saw Team Falken Tires's Darren McNamara, running his Sears Auto Center Saturn Sky on the proving grounds of legendary Road Atlanta, advance to the finals against Chris Forsberg where he took second place overall. The finals proved challenging after the first competitive run was deemed too close and a subsequent run requested by the judges - and known among the Formula D competitors and fans as a "One More Time" - ended with paint trading and McNamara in second.

LOS ANGELES (May 6, 2009) – After a three-year absence in the United States, the D1GP made its comeback on Saturday May 2, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. With the grandstands packed, competitors from around the world gathered in Anaheim to compete in the first of four scheduled rounds in the 2009 D1GP USA Championship Points Series. Daigo Saito in his Toyota Chaser managed to stave off Nobushige Kumakubo in the Team Orange Subaru Impreza in a hard-fought battle for first place. Perhaps the biggest surprise, however, was rookie American driver Forrest Wang eliminating several experienced drifters on his way to an impressive third place finish.
