Chris Rado and WORLD Racing made their way to Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) - a track unfamiliar to the team - this past weekend for NASA Time Trials. PIR is a short, very tight track; the kind of track that is an enemy to the WORLD Racing FWD Scion tC. "This isn't the type of track that our Scion tC is designed for," says Chris. "But when it comes down to racing, we race what we got and we run the tracks that we are there to race."

| Racing Line-After The Dirt Settles, Vaughn Will Return To Tarmac For A Road Race
Vaughn will be heading to Miller Motorsports Park Friday September 19th to participate in the Miller Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup. Vaughn will be jumping in the series for this round seven event in hopes of keeping his Mustang Challenge Ford Mustang FR500S pointed a little more straight then he's used to as he attempts a good finish in a non-drift event.

Vaughn will be shifting gears this week, both literally and figuratively, when he heads to Deer Creek Speedway to participate in his first dirt track race. | Racing Line-Ryuji Miki barely qualifies in the Top 16 and almost beats #1 qualifier Samuel Hubinette!
Ryuji Miki barely made the Top 16 field in Formula D's Round 6 event in Sonoma, California. Ryuji Miki piloted the A'PEXi/Nitto Mazda RX7 to a 16th qualifying position with a 90.72. The 16th position would position Ryuji to face the number one qualifier as well as Formula D point's leader Samuel Hubinette and the MOPAR Dodge Viper. "This was going to be quite a tall order for Ryuji considering he would be up against two-time FD Champion Samuel Hubinette. I don't think it will be a problem though because Ryuji loves tandem. He really shows his aggressive-prowess in tandem. His qualifying position is not a good indicator of Ryuji's skill. I think Ryuji can take down Sam." Driver, Ryan Tuerck, of the Mobil 1 Gardella Racing Pontiac Solstice made a big move a big move points this past weekend in Sonoma, CA at the Formula D event. Tuerck finished the weekend in fourth place, moving him ahead of Takatori into 6th place on the championship FD points ladder. The goal of this rookie team is a 5th place finish this season and after this event, the Mobil 1 Solstice is just 14 points away!

| Racing Line-Ed Bergenholtz escapes catastrophe at Seattle BATTLE!
The Nitto/MAZDASPEED Drag Team attended Round 7 of a 9-race Championship Battle of the Imports Series at Pacific Raceways. The event featured close to 300 competitors, 100 car show entries, close to 4,000 spectators, and most of all some serious exciting side-by-side drag racing that brought the fans constantly to their feet. The event was so jam-packed, Battle of the Imports founder, Frank Choi and Ed Bergenholtz both assisted staff to park spectator cars and competitor trailers. "This is our first time here in Seattle and the market is amazing! People were packed into the staging area and it looked like Woodstock for God's sake. There were so many competitors that Battle had to run the event an hour past curfew. Seattle rocks!," exclaimed Ron Bergenholtz, Team Manager of Bergenholtz Racing.
