 | | | SEMA 2009: THE WEEK IN REVIEW | | Buzz-worthy tuner highlights from the annual automotive aftermarket trade show | | The elasticity in our skin is slowly returning after spending a week in the desert checking out the latest and greatest the aftermarket industry has to offer vehicles of all types. True, partying to end each day of the 2009 SEMA Show was probably not the best way to stay hydrated, but without the alcohol-addled debauchery, the annual trade event wouldn't be nearly as memorable. | | Full Article | | By: URC Staff - 11/6/2009 | Event Images

| Event Coverage-Evan Griffey's 2009 SEMA Top Car, Top Product The SCAP (Sound Choice Audio and Performance) Heritage Camaro SS was my standout at the SEMA Show. This is quite a statement considering the pure and complete dominance of the Camaro at the show making it a chore to just standout from all the Camaros. While Ford may have been the manufacturer of the show, the Camaro was the undisputed star of the show and in my 19 SEMA's I have never seen one model so overwhelmingly popular. 11/6/2009 - Full Article

| Event Coverage-SEMA SHOWSTOPPERS, DAY 3 Day three of the SEMA Show and we're totally delirious. Our cameras have never felt heavier, nor have our shoes ever felt more uncomfortable. We now appreciate those booths that spent the extra cash to have the super-cushy carpet - ooh, so nice. 11/6/2009 - Full Article - Event Images

| Event Coverage-SEMA New Product Blitz 3 We are going out with a bang or as close to a bang as we can muster. The vibe at the show has been a heavy dose of ‘grin and bear it.’ This is the biggest challenge the sport compact industry has ever faced. There were two previous dips in the economy in the ‘90s and early 2000s but the industry was in hyper drive at the time and was bulletproof against the effects. 11/6/2009 - Full Article - Event Images

| Event Coverage-2009 SEMA: DAY 3 On our third day of the 2009 SEMA Show, we had just enough time for a quick run through the halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center before our bus left town. Our time here is never enough, and even with fewer offerings this year because of the down economy, the menu of brilliantly crafted machines was too much to cover in just one story - but there were a few standouts that came up time and again in conversation that we simply need to point out. 11/5/2009 - Full Article - Event Images

| Event Coverage-Drifting At The 2009 Sema Show Once upon a time, drifting was the laughing stock of the tuner world. People called it silly, compared it to figure skating, and said it would never be considered a successful motorsport. 11/5/2009 - Full Article - Event Images

| Event Coverage-SEMA New Products Blitz 2 Day has gone off much smoother but there are just fewer import parts in general out there on the floor. Finding them is difficult with all the 2010 Camaros crowding the aisles. But we have found some gems for today’s lucky contestants, the new Godzilla and the Korean Hammer also known as the Nissan GT-R and Hyundai Genesis. 11/4/2009 - Full Article - Event Images

| Event Coverage-SEMA SHOWSTOPPERS, DAY 2 The first day at SEMA is always the best. You're fresh and excited about the upcoming week. When you greet familiar faces, you smile and shake hands, maybe even exchange a hug depending on how much you like the person (especially if it's a girl). 11/4/2009 - Full Article - Event Images

| Event Coverage-2009 SEMA: DAY 2 We stumbled into the second day of the 2009 SEMA Show a little hung over, a little beat, but mostly ready to field whatever curveballs came our way. First on our hit list was the press conference Scion was putting on to announce the winner of this year's xB Tuner Challenge. 11/4/2009 - Full Article - Event Images

| Event Coverage-2009 SEMA: Day 1 We're not going to bore you with the obvious. Most know the economy sucks and that the automotive business in particular has taken a decisive hit, and that includes the aftermarket. 11/3/2009 - Full Article - Event Images

| Event Coverage-SEMA New Product Blitz The 2009 SEMA kicked off under duress as my plane had some at-the-gate maintenance that encompassed opening the 'hood' on the port-side engine...never a good thing. Then the SEMA New Products showcase failed to provide the usual images to go along with the info. This sent me scrambling to shoot the products through the glass like you shoot animals at the zoo. So I must apologize for the lackluster quality of the images. But I am at the keyboard, iPod with Linkin Park blasting and 48 minutes to deliver the goods. 11/3/2009 - Full Article - Event Images
